Sonesta International Hotels has executed a franchise agreement for the new construction of a hotel in La Romana, Dominican Republic. In addition to two other properties currently under construction (The James Larimer City and Sonesta ES Suites Jarabacoa), this third Sonesta property expands the brand’s presence in the Dominican Republic.

The new MOD Collection by Sonesta will be delivered in two phases, with building one opening fall 2027 and the second building in fall 2028.

The new property will offer 168 guestrooms within La Romana on the southeastern coast, a top destination home to luxury resorts, world-class golf courses, the village of Altos de Chavón and Caribbean beaches.
